silk screen printing

The joys of graphics at Bucks New Uni is the infamous red shed, where you have everything from heat press, sewing machines, letter press and of course silk screen printing, which many students across all fields of creativity utilise.... especially us graphics students. ^_^

For my final project, i teamed up with my buddy Mr Mac to help me produce silk screen prints for my Brixton fairy tale.    -prints coming soon-

enjoy x

YCN

So i have finished with uni, returned from holiday and have been applying to jobs and internships and i cannot lie, nothing has been more fruitful and more accommodating than the YCN website.
Here i have found everything from art working to project management, illustrator to ideas generator, and yes my furry friends some of them are paid internships. Im sure i have applied to over 12 placements ^_^ they do however take close to a decade to reply,  that being said there are a plethora of opportunities at the end of your fingertips.... so gets to tapping.

osun

Brief: Re brand and extend the product range of the Nigerian soap ‘Dudu osun’ being sure to encapsulate the organic, ethnic feel of the product.

Rationale: Working in a pair Jospehine and I were inspired by the cross sections of the mainly fruit based ingredients which we hand drew and merged together, to create bold African styled patterns for the packaging, of two product ranges for the brand.

My Pattern hand drawn n vectored up...

femininity

So im currently taking part in an exhibition that is a collaboration between writers and illustrators
and this was my initial character that someone ended up writing a piece about.

Exhibition

Beddow 'n' Battini
20th-23rd January
61 Ewer street, Southwark, London, SE1 0NR

Explanation

i guess its quite surreal in a way but i combined all the elements and aspects
i enjoy drawing, hair, lines, eyes and flowers lol...
i chose the flowers as i love what each flower has the ability to represent and portray, also
i believe they are the epitome of femininity *cliche* but besides this there was no
real thought behind it...

i just wanted to create something beautiful... everything else came after which is the beauty of creativity

Thoughts

unusual for me to draw closed eyes, but i thinkt they are quite fitting, and add an element of peace...

the lines and their random intertwining nature  add an extra depth, uncertainty, and confusion,
but ultimately there is something quite interesting and untamable about them.. its like
i wanna know what she is thinking....

My very little, very lovely sewing machine

Letter press!!
