whats your worth??

As a creative i'm now entering the stage where i'm expected to determine my worth, im expected to tell people what i expect them to pay me WHAT!!! this has never been the case in retail you are TOLD your worth. The price for your time and your skill are already pre determined, you either like it or lump it.

Now to be thrown into a position where i have to determine my own value?

The worst thing is no one can tell you what to charge, they can only advise you, only you know your worth and what you are willing to work for. Not only this put knowing when to ask for a fee and when to take an opportunity??

is there a solution????

What is critter-can??

Ahhh well i get this alot, what is critter?? who is critter? what can it do?? lool erm unfortunately my housemates call me critter. They got the name from the tv show 'My Wife & Kids' again im not sure how i got stuck with the name but i did. The whole 'can' bit, is because im proudly lazy, need i say more, so the 'can' is a form of gentle encouragement for myself :-D x

Today i awoke to find my mac book charger face down in a bowl of last nights left over cereal (evident suicide ). I decided to go to Curry's 2 replace it... £67.50 (shocking!!) I asked the assistant if this was the right price... he told me yes... i asked if they had a cheaper one... he told me no.. i explained my laptop was insured and suggested i could be entitled to a free one.... he looked at me and goes No maam.

Frustration of Design

My house mates Sudoku scribbles, a perfect illustration of how I feel at this moment in time. I love design I do but it has its moments. Frustrating, draining and time consuming to name but a few cons.

When answering a brief there is always a lot to consider from research, to coming up with an idea and most importantly an appropriate outcome. There's so much to consider at times I often lose my head.
