Persistence of love

ok so i accidently burnt my housemates Tesco receipt by placing a hot tray on it ooops. anyways i really liked the imprint, some of the negative space looked like melting hearts,  :-) which reminded me of the Dali Painting 'Persistence of Memory' (melting clocks). Anyways with all this going on in my head, i decided to recreate my own.....

The 'Good Will Collection' -illustrative cards

Greetings cards originated as simple slips of papyrus, exchanged by both the Egyptians and Chinese as messages of Good will.

The ‘Good Will’ collection is a comprises of a collection of 6 handmade illustrative cards ideal for all occasions and are the perfect capsules for messages of all sentiment.

My aim was to design cards that were not race, gender or occasion specific, as sometimes I just want a nice looking card. All the cards were screen printed and the accents of colour are the result of hand stitched wool to add texture and detail.

Ash Future logo

Ok, so i was asked to re create the 'Back to the future' logo for my friends identity, which is not my favourite thing to do, especially when i'm not a huge fan of the original. Never the less i did as i was asked, stayed close to original, but kept it simple......

The design manifesto of a lil critter :-)

The video shows my design process, which mainly focus's on the idea and thought process behind any great outcome. The video also illustrates my ever changing relationship with design.

The outcome is not quite what i had hoped, but what do you expect when you start the night before, :-s lol. However the mood i aimed to convey has come through quite well.
