The mid 20's life crisis

Erm.........

I was watching the hills finale when i came across this profound statement, yes i said profound, and i couldn't agree with it more. im not sure if it applies exclusively to creatives or uni students, but a lot of my friends whom fit the criteria could not agree more.....

When applying it to my own life, its this limbo stage towards the end of 2nd yr going into my final year where im just not sure what to do next, im not sure what career i want, or may have, im not sure as a creative where i fit in the world of design,  and most scarily of all im not sure what life will be like after uni. This is definitely a life crisis of some sort.
unlike the mid life, where you have to some degree 'lived' your life and now crave change something new something daring if u will, I believe the mid 20 life crisis is the fear of not knowing what might be, what the future holds. the uncertainty of your dreams and your ability to achieve them......

So there u have it in the most basic of interpretations the mid 20's life crisis the fear of what might or might not be.

So the second in the series of my talented friends is my pal Riá who makes up 1/3 of the group HARLEQUINN L.R.A

Bio 

The Company Harlequinn L.R.A comprises of three female designers named, Lakisha White, Ria Rose and Arayner Ashia. The girls have been designing together for 3 years, in which they have practised designing and making full patterned garments. All Collections are inspired by seasonal trends and a combination of the self expressed approach of each designer.

Ok i have many talented friends and i figured i would do a few little features on them. The first is my longest and bestest friend Palesa better known as T.S Abe.

Bio
Abe has successfully progressed from early aged doodling, felt tip tattoos and subway sketchings, to firmly realized pencil works. The drawings (typically surrealist portraits) have graced a multitude of mediums ..from Album covers and novels, to Exhibition walls, mags and a London bus. 
Fresh from a year at central saint martins, with her debut show at the Electric Blue Gallery, Abe is currently working on a graphic novel...

Just rediscovered this pic i took, nothing special but i loveth it .....

creative promiscuity......

Ive noticed a common trait amongst most creatives, they canni keep their hands in one cookie jar!! it would appear that one of the effects of the  creative bug is promiscuity.

Many creatives start out in a particular field of speciality, and almost all end up with fingers in many pies. From graphics to fashion, animation, 3-D, textiles, music and poetry ....... It would seem that we admire creativity in all its many forms, and appreciate its ability to allow self expression, challenge and most importantly the opportunity to share. Each new creative talent acquired can bring such satisfaction and a sense of achievement as another piece of the creative puzzle is discovered, you can mistakenly begin to feel complete........ almost

I myself im currently flirting with the idea of designing cushion covers and hair accessories, whilst fondling my guitar as i try to maintain my secret romance with poetry......
