la douleur exquise

I had no intentions when taking this pic (of myself :-S) but after a bit of desaturation and burn tool in photoshop i lovveeeed it. Its not flattering, but it is beautifully creepy, haunting.

the title translated into English literally is the exquisite pain, but describes the
exquisite pain of loving someone unattainable.

This is just a small collection of sketches i have done put together in a collage on photoshop. no retouching or anything, just layering up. i actually wanted to show my raw messy drawings..... alas.

why do men have nipples??

one of lives many unanswered questions. i dont even remember the point of this project, but i know i enjoyed working with the 'models' :-p

:-) erm had a lil shopping trip in London, the builders we all sat sooo uniformly on their lunch break, it had to be done. Distressed it with noise and such in photoshop
.
When I saw the opportunity it instantly reminded me of the famous pic of the builders on their break, whilst sat on an iron bar over the New York skyline, no harness in sight.

Album art recreation

This was my recreation of the Beatles 'Revolver' Album cover
1st hand drawn, then scanned in, then all the other images cropped in after.

This was my recreation of the Kanye West album cover 'Graduation' again
1st hand drawn, then scanned in, and all the wonderful colour and clouds, added in on photoshop.

I chose both of these album covers as i believe they are both iconic pieces of art, as well as album covers.

Created this typeface for a found fonts project at A level, and then went on to use it for a logo For the ACS (Afro Caribbean Society) at uni.

A little stop frame animation I made for a mini project, in which I had to document my time in Old Street, London. I chose to do this by focusing on the areas most memorable graffiti.

just to explain the ending the lost student finds his tutor Mark 'HUDSON' (the actual tutor whom set the brief)

The brief was to come up with, or illustrate the crime of the century. I came up with the idea of the crime of the century being the crimes we commit against ourselves through which we believe are 'reasons' for not doing something, but ultimately they are excuses, as one is used to define another.

vanity is ok, as long its creative

The result of one of those days I felt like taking pictures, was taken by myself with my phone, finished up with a bit of photoshop.
